​Beatrice (Alma) Njeri lives in Nairobi, Kenya and has been a SMDCard member from its earliest days. She is active in the network and was a winner in the 2023 SMDCard Photo Contest and received Honorable Mention in the 2022 SMDC Writing Contest. We're so inspired by her tireless efforts to advocate for her daughter, who's had serious lifelong health issues. We wish them both all good things in this new year.

Kim Poole, owner of More Amour Boutique in Downtown New Haven, CT, (The Shops at Yale) helps women choose clothes and accessories that make them stand out and feel good! With a background as a consultant at Neiman Marcus and Saks and a creative eye for fashion, her goal is to allow the clothes in her shop to inspire others to be their most fearless selves and chase their happiness.
