Days are shorter; leaves are changing and falling, while the yellow flags are flying. The all-American sport has had one heck of a season, with QB’s out from the headliner teams Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Chicago Bears (See gruesome injuries here). Read more in the Sports Section.
Don't forget the referee strike that caused the replacement ref’s to make a bogus touchdown call when it came to Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay (my favorite team. Go Cheeseheads). (See the bogus call here). Plus, if you football fans didn’t know, these refs were from the Lingerie Football League (link), because the Puppy Bowl refs were either unavailable or too expensive.
Though with everything that has happened, including a hurricane, snowstorm, and a panicky election, this sport has been going strong.
Going back years and years we see that Thanksgiving football remained a tradition no matter what.
